Children are reading less and less?

NO IMAGE

Do you think that children are reading less and less?
I have no idea that children are reading less and less.
The reason is “I have no children!”

haha.

Oh, no joking.

To be honest, I heard that my friends are reading books, and I also read books sometimes.
I can’t compare my generation to old graduation.

However, there is fact that the bookshelf in my house full of books my parents read.
I fell that parents read more book than I did.

So, “Children are reading less and less” is true…?

------Yuka runs into Addie and her father, Graig.

Yuka: Addie, is that a Japanese comic book you’re carrying?
Addie: Yeah. It’s been translated into English, though.
Craig: She’s been fascinated with manga ever since her school in the States started to use comics as part of the curriculum.
Addie: We used this one in our art class.
Craig: Experts think having graphics along with the written word will lure children reluctant to read.
Yuka: We’re facing that problem in Japan, too. Children are reading less and less.
